I have been going to Charger House my entire life, so maybe I’m a little biased, but I love it. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s a specific vibe that is really nostalgic to me. I love their chicken and fish. I always swap the regular fries for waffle fries… they’re the best!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 — Angela InTheWoods
If you like fried fish this is a must stop! Exceptional fried fish. Will definitely be back and prices are very reasonable. Service was fantastic could not have asked for better.
They advertise salad bar on their sign but we did not see one on our visit. I was looking forward to a salad bar so this is why I only gave 4 stars.
The sides of slaw, potato salad, etc are very small and kind of feels stingy on their part. But they do give very good portion of fries.
If you do not like fish well you may not want to come here, because the smell of fried fish hits you in the face when you open the door. Yum!!
Don't leave without some pie. Excellent pies!

I've been eating at Charger house for over 40 years. Love the food and the the people! Have known the owner since I was a little kid.

It's a hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere but I am telling you this place is good. They serve fish, they're known for their fish and it's killer. But if fish isn't your thing they got fresh chicken, beef. If you leave there hungry you're not right. That's all I can say. Friendly staff too. The place is highly busy though and tightly cramped. But the waitresses moved fast as did the cooks to make it right. Easily worth the extra drive even if we had to wait a few minutes. Best of all we felt as if it was a good value. We definitely will be back.

Great fish and fries. Fast service and hot food. French fries actually tasted like potatoes and were very crunchy and satisfying. Tartar sauce was a little sweet for me but tasted homemade. Worth a stop. Great prices too.

I’ve always just had their breakfast which is always tasteful. My favorite local area to get fish was petersons but they closed down. I tried their fish for the first time and i can’t believe how good it was along with the tartar sauce. So glad I have a place near me to get fish now!

What a Great place to eat. The fish was beyond good and the homemade tarter sauce was perfection. They go through 1500lbs of fish a week!!
